Relive the great moments of Brazilian soccer by booking tickets to the Maracanã. You’ll explore the locker rooms, walk through the tunnel to the pitch, and discover historic pieces in its museum.
Visit the Maracanã Stadium
The Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, popularly known as Maracanã, is Brazil’s largest stadium and, for a long time, it was the largest in the world, with a capacity of more than 78,000 people. With this ticket, you’ll explore the most iconic corners of one of the most famous sporting venues on the planet.
Following the stadium’s guidance and information panels, you’ll begin by learning about the evolution of this venue, built for the 1950 World Cup and modernized for 2014. You’ll explore the Maracanã Museum, whose exhibition brings together key pieces from the history of Brazilian soccer, collectible items, and memorabilia from great idols.
During your visit, you’ll be able to see the ball with which Pelé scored his 1000th goal, the famous “Milésimo,” in this very stadium in 1969. Marta, the queen of soccer, is also represented, highlighting the talent of Brazilian women’s soccer that has left its mark on the stadium. You’ll also find references to stars such as Romário and Ronaldo, who shone in the national team’s triumphs.
Throughout the tour, you’ll take your place in the locker rooms, visit the warm-up room, and sit in the press room, imagining the statements after a major final. You’ll also experience the most thrilling moment by walking through the tunnel that leads to the pitch. You’ll almost be able to hear the roar of the spectators filling the stands!
You’ll even remember that everyone from Pope John Paul II to music legends such as the Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Paul McCartney has passed through here.
The tour is estimated to last 1 hour.
