I've been seeing San Simón Island for years whenever I drove past on the highway, and I often thought about going to visit it, but today was the day, finally, and I must say it was a wonderful experience, both because of the place itself, which was much more interesting than I expected, and because of the stories related to its past. I highly recommend this visit to anyone who wants to learn more about our history, especially the time of the Civil War.
